This is the first box I’ve signed up for from NewBeauty TestTube and I was super excited to receive it. As the name signifies, it came in a “tube” but not all the products fit (as you can see).
The rest of the products were neatly packed in the tube
I’ll start with the all-star item and the only one that wouldn’t fit in the tube. To be honest, and this is how they get you, I signed up mainly for this product because I always wanted to try it and it’s full size! Of course I’m talking about the Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment by Sunday Riley.
I thought this was really great to try out here, I’ve so far been using this every night and for someone that struggles with bad skin I see a noticeable improvement using this!
The second product is a perfume from Commodity. I’ve heard great things about the brand and people were really excited to be receiving one of their fragrances here, but to be honest the scent I received- Vertiver- was not for me. It was a very musky, masculine fragrance (a lot of their fragrances are unisex), and I defiantly prefer something more feminine. It’s described as being a “woody floral fragrance” that has hints of jasmine and patchouli.
Then we had a dry shampoo- I can always use another one!- and this is a brand I’ve received in other boxes before. It’s a decent dry shampoo and I’m happy to put it away until my current bottle needs a refill.
Subscribers also received the NEUMA reNEU scalp therapy, which is meant to be used when you’re washing your hair in the shower. This had a distinct minty smell and it felt like it worked well in the way that you know your toothpaste is working- I got that minty fresh feeling, if you can call it that, on my scalp.
Then I opened the Grande Glow plumping liquid highlighter. This shade is a bit too orange for my pale skin, but I can definitely see the highlighting and plumping effects.
Next up was a red lipstick from the brand Luminess, in the shade Poison Apple. It’s a true, deep red fit for the Snow Queen herself. Unfortunately I don’t wear much red lipstick so I will be giving this to someone who does!
The next item was a nail polish base coat from the brand 10+ Free Chemistry. Since I’ve been doing my nails more due to the current environment and it’s always good to start with a base coat!
The last item was a sample packet of a collagen supplement from Hanhoo. I’ve seen a lot of people who add this their coffee in the morning (I’m not that adventurous yet), but the directions say to pour this directly into your mouth. I haven’t tried this yet and might pawn this off on a roommate to test instead.
Its worth noting that each tube comes with a booklet detailing the items/brands in the box and how best to use them. All in all, I will use most of the products here, I mainly wanted the Sunday Riley item as it was worth more than the cost of the box!
